GROUP RULES 1: All members are to respect staff and each other. We want everyone to treat others as they want to be treated. As such, we do not discriminate against sexuality, religion, race, and other things. Please keep in mind that we say respect, we do not mean you can irritate other people with it. If a member asks you to stop a topic, or other things, you are expected to do so. If anyone has any problems with another, please contact a staff member. [Screenshots will be required depending on what the issue is.] 2: Activity will help this role play thrive. However, we understand life can get in the way. If a member is inactive for 2 weeks or more without warning, they will be kicked and removed from the site. If an absence thread is posted, please note we can still remove you after 3 weeks of no return. 3: When recruiting, we ask that the group chat be clear enough for new members to get any information they still need. We also ask that local be kept under control as well. If another group is out there and something is started, you are to leave it to the staff to deal with. Do NOT feed the fire. You are free to converse about it in group, but if a staff says to quit then it's best to do so. If a problem goes too far, we will deny entry or even kick a member if they continue without stopping. 4: Mate, rank, and kit begging is not permitted. You may ask one maybe two times, but no more. If a member is found "hinting" at being such rank/mate/kit, they will be issued a warning. Failure to cooperate will result in a full on kick from the role play. Reentry to the role play will be denied. 5: No kits unless they are born into the role play, or a certain plot requires for a clan to find an abandoned kit. If you want to play a kit, you can ask if there is a litter that can be auditioned for. 6: We allow 2-3 characters per member, and they can be in either clan. However, your first clan must remain your FIRST PRIORITY. You may switch your main clan if you contact both leaders. Only 2 characters for Coven members, and the second character must be a kit. [Please note, you may NOT have 1 coven cat and 1 clan cat, you must have either or! If you switch from Clan to coven, you will be required to get rid of your other characters. They cannot switch to the coven with your main!] 7: a) Keep the role play terms realistic! Meaning you use the proper terms for body parts, genders, colors, etc. Okay, we allow DESCRIPTIVE terms to be used for your characters. Like "The brute tom heaved his way over to the prey pile with his eyes glimmering like green pools in the sunlight" not "The masculinitive brute heaved his way to the prey pile with his green pools looking at it". Describing your eyes with adjectives are good, but saying that the eyes are actual pools is NOT. Cats are divided into tom-cats and she-cats, male and female. Nothing else like felidae [that's a cat in general], femora [Wtf?], etc. b) Also, KEEP YOUR BODY PART TERMS REALISTIC! Banner, tassel, flag are NOT YOUR TAIL! All of those are "free flowing" that move with the wind and have no actual control. Your tail has complete control of itself, unless, of course, it's limp and dead. Pillars are not your legs, pedestals are not your paws. If we find you to be using unrealistic terms, we will give you a warning. Alabaster is also not a color, take it from more than four years of drawing and art classes, I've seen cream, pearl, and ivory as the main terms for white. I have never seen Alabaster, that's a rock. Not to mention it can also [rarely] be black! c) If you are reminded more than two- three times we will have to remove you from the role play. Here is a link to the FH site about Wolf Speak, some of you may want to educate yourselves- ClickBasically this is a NO: 8: For Clans: No prophecies by StarClan or Dark Forest unless given by the staff. This includes dreams! For Coven: No spiritual binding [do not make a spirit] unless given permission, and your cat has ability to spirit talk. Failure to follow both segments of the rule and you will find yourself kicked out of the role play. 9: Never EVER give the map password, or map itself, out to anyone without your leader's permission. If we have any reason to believe this rule was broken by an individual, we can report it to Feral Heart staff and even kick you from the role play. Even if our accusations are "Just a hunch" if we have enough suspicions, then your role play days with us will be exterminated. 10: If a member is being kicked from the map for any given reason, they are to leave and delete the map at once. Failure to do so, and continuation to roam the map will get the individual reported to the FH staff for trolling. 11: Due to recent enlightenment, no characters are to have a past in another clan outside of this role play. While other clans do exist in this world. It is highly unlikely that they would find said clans, and/or said clans would accept them. 12: While we do not care if someone is helping with the rules, we ask members never to act like staff. Meaning do not act like you own the place or are in charge when you're not. 13: Please keep IC and OOC drama to a minimum. We understand and do feel bad that you may be having a hard time. However, please try not to consume all of the group with you. People have their own problems. So please respect everyone and keep it to party or whisper. ROLEPLAY RULES 1: Be realistic as far as your actions go. Meaning you must take note of what can hurt a cat realistically, and what cannot. Things like falling off a tree, or high places, usually result in the cat coming out alright. Cats have natural balance, meaning even if they fall upside down, they turn right side up and prepare for impact. Even if they're in shock, or stunned, they'll naturally land on their feet. Obviously, at certain heights, the chance of gaining injury or death becomes greater.
Please keep unneeded in character drama monitored. Things like constantly getting your character hurt, constant bad behavior, defying group related laws can get your character killed. If you value your character, please give them some common sense. You control them, and their behavior. [At least be sure you tell someone OOCly, COME ON]
Size matters, skill matters, and rank matters. All members have their own strengths, and weaknesses. Please note these and know where your character stands as far as fighting goes. This leads into the no power playing rule, anyone caught always dodging, or ENSURING hits to another person's character will result in a strict warning. Always "aim and attempt" to hit someone, as the one being a victim of attacks, be realistic as far as dodging and receiving attacks go. In a normal fight, we ask to not make fatal blows, or "receive" fatal blows that could render your character near death. [Doing so, your character may most likely die]
Warriors are to follow their code, and the Coven must follow their laws. Consequences will follow IC and OOC if this rule is broken. [AKA: We're sick of people "not believing in StarClan" and/or "not following the code" because it's a good plot. It's over done, and if it IS done, it's because we allow it.]
Two cats falling in love is a great thing, and we accept both straight and gay/lesbian pairs. However, please keep any vulgar content, such as mating, strictly to whisper or party. There should also be no actions to show you're role playing it either. Basically, if you mate in public, or show actions that you are, you will be INSTANTLY reported to FH staff. That is one rule that must be upheld in EVERY map, private or not.
Parents are required to be active enough to raise their kits. Failure to remain active will result in the mother, and kits to leave the role play. [Unless the kits are actually near apprentice age before inactivity].
After the time characters mate, 4 whole days must pass before your character can get signs of being pregnant. From then on, you must be pregnant for at least 2 weeks before giving birth. You MUST role play out your pregnancies!
Parents may choose how many kits they are having, and what genders and defects. However, we advise the kits choose how they look. Parents have the final say on pelt designs. We ask that litters be kept to 4 kits, 5 at most with one being a weak runt.
All names must be realistic and native to their location! We live in North America! Your Clan leader has a final say. For the Coven, only natural names or human names are allowed!
For kits 1 day must pass before they can see and tumble around, 2 weeks before they can become apprentices. Apprentices will age a moon every week. Adults will age a moon every two weeks.
No member is to have their character aim to kill unless Owlus consents to, or a notification is given in game that death is possible. Otherwise, members are to aim to pin or run the opponent off. We ask that members make their characters know right from wrong enough to know when they are beaten! If a member feels as though they were attacked or killed unfairly, they are welcome to whisper Owlus to help resolve the problem.
